GL Hearn, a major London based property consultants were struggling with an old Foxpro system to process thousands of rating appeals for major blue chip companies each year.
With Regional offices connected via leased lines and a need to synchronise data, the foxpro system was often out of date and inaccurate.

With the 2005 rating list fast approaching Kinspeed were hired to write a new rating system that could cater for over 100 people being on-line at any given time. The system would be browser based using the latest programming techniques and SQL databases.
The system is now in use and controling workflow for the appeal process on a real time basis. New electronic submission with the valuation office has been attained and rating professionals in GL Hearn countrywide are now using the system to control what can be a very complicate and difficult process. Access is via a normal web browser and the system has even been opened up so GL Hearn clients can view the progress of their cases securely
