Many of our customers contact us to look at developing or re-writing their old Foxpro systems. These systems were generally written many years ago but because of the speed and general stability of FoxPro developed systems people were very unwilling to give them up. Usually the systems had been written by long gone programmers who are now either tending sheep on a Tibetan hillside or basking in the wealth of the 70's boom in programming. One such customer that approached us was Towsure. They had an excellent sales order system, very simple to use which was a boon as most of their staff were seasonal, hired to cope with the spring and summer camping and caravan rush and needing to get up to speed quickly with a computerised sales order system.

Towsure were going from strength to strength and needed extra functionality from the system. Decisions had to be made whether to continue with Foxpro after losing their sole developer to another occupation. Kinspeed, with over 20 years experience in Foxpro, initially supported the systems giving peace of mind and allowing Towsure to specify a system to cope with future growth.

In the end the sysyem chosen was a fully integrated Sage solution which was heavily bespoked by Kinspeed. However our in depth knowledge of Foxpro helped us look at code within the old system to re-create the functionality in their new Sage system.

Towsure still use Kinspeed for development of the system and are now the leading brand in caravan and camping equipment currently shipping up to 3000 parcels per day.
