Sage 50 Payroll: Auto Enrolment Edition

Between October 2012 & April 2017- all UK employers regardless of size will have to automatically enroll all eligible staff into the qualifying work place pension. The employer will have to deduct a pension contribution on behalf of the employee, and crucially contribute to the scheme themselves.

Initially the employer and employee will pay 1% of band earnings each. Band earnings are all employee earnings between £5,668 & £41,450 (2013/2014)  This will rise to 5% employee 3% employer by 2018
